Job description

Software International (SI) supplies technical talent to a variety of clients ranging from Fortune 100/500/1000 companies to small and mid-sized organizations in Canada/US. We are currently searching for a DevOps Engineer - AWS Connect for our IT Consulting client to work on a long-term project with a major transportation company.

$70 - $90/hr C2C

Job Summary

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and tools necessary for our software development and deployment processes. You will work closely with our development team to ensure a seamless and efficient software delivery pipeline.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and implement automated deployment processes using AWS Connect
  2. Monitor and maintain the infrastructure and tools used for software development and deployment
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve deployment-related issues
  4. Collaborate with the development team to ensure smooth integration of new features and updates
  5. Implement and maintain security protocols and best practices for infrastructure
  6. Continuously improve and optimize the software delivery pipeline
  7. Stay up-to-date with the latest DevOps tools and technologies and recommend implementations
  8. Create and maintain technical documentation for deployment processes and infrastructure
  9. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and issue resolution
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
  3. Strong understanding of AWS Connect and other AWS services
  4. Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
  5. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby
  6. Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
  7. Knowledge of networking and security protocols
  8. Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, ELK stack, or Splunk
  9. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  10. Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  11. Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  12. AWS certifications are a plus
Contract Details

This is a contractor position based in Etobicoke, ON. The contract is for 6 months with potential for extension. The role requires 40 hours per week, with a competitive hourly rate. Candidates must have a valid Canadian work permit.
