Who we are:
At Portfolio+, we empower financial institutions with secure, scalable, and customer-first solutions. As a proudly Canadian company, we’re at the forefront of open finance, delivering cutting-edge cloud technology that simplifies operations, enhances security, and drives innovation. Our team thrives in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment where ideas matter, and impact is real. If you're passionate about fintech, innovation, and making a difference, Portfolio+ is the place to build your career.

Who You Are
As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll join our team in building the applications, tools, and services we use to create a great experience for our customers and our teams. You’ll help to create a stable foundation for our software developers to build Portfolio+ Inc.’s high quality software products while ensuring the tools/services are highly available, cost efficient and extensible. As we continue to scale and embrace the DevOps culture, the software engineering team will be looked to for guidance and mentorship.

You think in terms of doing the right things the first time around - knowing that it may take longer but understand that there’s a balance to be achieved and the importance of quality. Automation is a cornerstone of your way of thinking.

What You'll Do
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements, design, implement, and maintain DevOps processes and tools to support development, testing, and deployment pipelines.
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure solutions in both AWS and Azure cloud environments using tools like Terraform for infrastructure as code.
  • Drive the automation of deployment, continuous integration, and monitoring processes to ensure fast and reliable software releases.
  • Implement and manage containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
  • Maintain and improve configuration management systems (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet) to ensure consistent and reproducible infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure that applications are built with scalability, security, and performance in mind.
  • Implement security best practices, including vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and other issues, and contributing to capacity planning efforts.
  • Manage and troubleshoot production incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing impact on users.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the DevOps team, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Quarterly rotation for AWS SysOps tasks and responsibilities which include system performance monitoring/Tuning, patching, identity management, provide support to our cloud customers etc.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, system administration, or related roles.
  • 5+ years of experience working with AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Microsoft Azure.
  • Familiarity with tools used in the delivery of code, including:
    • code version control systems (BitBucket, GitHub),
    • packaging (Maven, Docker),
    • artifact management (Artifactory and/or Harbor),
    • defect/risk code scanning (SonarQube/SonarLint),
    • pipelines and automation (Jenkins, GitHub Actions),
    • and container orchestration (Fargate, Kubernetes).
  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI/CD).
  • Strong expertise in AWS cloud services with hands-on experience in infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Experience with Azure cloud services and the ability to apply Azure solutions alongside AWS offerings.
  • Proficiency in configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet) and infrastructure-as-code concepts (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
  • Solid scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and tooling.
  • Experience implementing security controls required by the SDLC into delivery pipelines.
  • Proven experience in leading a team of DevOps Engineers.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate) a plus.
What We Offer
  • Be part of a dynamic, innovative team where your ideas directly shape our sales strategy and market presence.
  • Flexible working arrangements (hybrid, remote, or in-office) designed to support work-life balance.
  • Comprehensive benefits package starting from day one, including health coverage, paid time off, and volunteer days.
  • Competitive salary, annual bonus program, and participation in our employee stock option plan.
  • Access to continuous learning opportunities, a robust learning management system, and a tuition reimbursement program.
  • Tools and technology provided (laptop, headset, monitors) to set you up for success.
