Job summary

Tekshapers, based in Toronto, Canada, seeks an experienced DevOps/SRE professional to support deployments, releases, and ongoing platform reliability. The role covers incident response, automation, and collaboration with multiple teams to ensure smooth change management and production stability.

The ideal candidate will monitor infrastructure health, perform root cause analysis, and drive improvements in automation, monitoring, and maintenance tasks across cloud environments including OpenStack,

Qualifications

• Experience supporting deployments, releases, hotfixes, and production implementations across multiple environments.
• Monitoring health of applications, servers, and infrastructure to ensure stability and availability.
• Strong incident troubleshooting with root cause analysis to reduce MTTR.

Job description

• Support application deployments, releases, hotfixes, and production implementations across environments.


• Monitor application, server, and infrastructure health to ensure platform stability and availability.


• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and help reduce Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR).


• Automate operational tasks, validation checks, and routine support activities to improve efficiency.


• Provide DevTools and CI/CD pipeline support to development and operations teams.


• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and release management teams during change and deployment activities.


• Maintain operational documentation, knowledge repositories, and onboarding materials.


• Support monitoring, patching, certificate renewals, and other platform maintenance activities.


• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, automation, and operational excellence


• Troubleshooting cloud virtual machines using Open Stack and Cloudify or AWS, Azure, Bluemix, Google Cloud for development and production environments,


• Scripting and debugging cloud infrastructure provisioning automation,Delivering changes to development, test, and production environments.


• Scripting skills in Bash, Python, PowerShell, YAML, AWS, azure, cloud infrastructure basics and Azure Skills.
