Duration: 6+ Months

This is a hybrid role requiring twice-weekly presence at the office: 2727 Meadowpine Blvd, Mississauga.

Job Description: Cloud DevOps Engineer to build and automate AWS infrastructure, enabling developers to deploy applications across multiple environments. The ideal candidate will have experience with AWS, and can improve build and release scripts, tools, and processes. Required skills include AWS infrastructure, CloudFormation, Docker, CI/CD deployment, AWS security, encryption, and security groups. The individual will collaborate with the Enterprise Architectural Group and project teams for automation and deployment tasks.

Responsibilities:

1. Design secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS.
2. Collaborate with software engineering teams to define infrastructure and deployment requirements.
3. Provision, configure, and maintain AWS infrastructure defined as code.
4. Ensure configuration compliance using management tools.
5. Troubleshoot across various services and areas.
6. Build and maintain deployment, monitoring, and analysis tools for AWS infrastructure.
7. Perform cost analysis and optimize infrastructure expenses.

Must Have Skills:

• Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
• At least 5 years of experience with AWS native services (VPC, EC2, Security Groups, IAM, ECS, CodePipeline, etc.).
• Experience with Azure cloud platform.
• Hands-on experience with CloudFormation, Terraform.
• Experience with DevOps tools like Bitbucket, GitHub, GitHub Actions, SonarCloud, CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with build and orchestration tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Artifactory.
• Knowledge of programming languages like Java, Python.
• Working knowledge of SQL and databases.
• Experience with AWS API Gateway and serverless technologies like Lambda and Fargate.
• Strong DevOps background with security and automation focus.

Nice to Have:

• AWS Solution Architect certification.
• AWS SysOps Administrator.
• Experience with Azure, GCP is a plus.
