Role Overview

Infosys is looking for a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer (SCON) who can design, build, and manage scalable, secure AWS cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and efficient application delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda)
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Automate build, release, and operational workflows
• Monitor system performance, availability, and cost optimization
• Ensure cloud security, compliance, and access controls (IAM, KMS)
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis
• Collaborate with Dev, QA, and Ops teams for seamless releases
• Manage and troubleshoot production for Kubernetes (EKS/ECS) and Docker environments
• Develop and maintain monitoring dashboards with CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana
• Document and maintain procedural knowledge base
• Work at a computer for extended periods, including prolonged sitting

Required Skills

• At least 7 years of information technology experience, 5+ years in DevOps or cloud engineering
• Strong expertise in core AWS services and architecture
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Experience with containers: Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/ECS)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or Bash)
• Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Good understanding of networking, security, and Linux operating systems
• Strong communication skills – verbal, written, and face‑to‑face
• Valid work authorization in Canada; Canada citizenship or permanent residency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or equivalent progressive experience in lieu of a degree
• Located within commuting distance of Mississauga, Ontario, or willing to relocate (travel may be required)
• Authorized to work in Canada without employer‑based visa sponsorship (Infosys does not provide immigration sponsorship for this role)

Estimated annual compensation range for Ontario: $92,740 to $105,007.
