Akkodis is seeking a DevOps/Cloud Engineer - GCP for a contract position with a client in Toronto, ON (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on GCP experience, cloud operations, and administration expertise within an Infrastructure Operations, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering role, along with development/scripting languages, container technologies, config management tools, CI/CD tools, and Infrastructure as Code. Preference for candidates with experience in large Canadian Banking/Financial Enterprise clients.

Contract

Must-Have Skills:

1. 8+ years of hands-on experience with Cloud Environments such as GCP, AWS, Azure, etc.
2. 1-2 years of hands-on cloud operations and administration experience with GCP
3. 5+ years of technical experience in Infrastructure Operations, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering
4. 5+ years of hands-on experience with development/scripting languages, container technologies, config management tools, CI/CD tools, and Infrastructure as Code

Nice-to-Have Skills:

1. GCP Network Virtualization (GCNV) experience
2. GCS (Google Cloud Storage) experience

Ideal Candidate:

The best candidate has progressed from DevOps to a Senior Cloud Engineer role with recent hands-on GCP experience. Preferred development languages include Python, HCL, Helm; container technology like Docker; config management tools such as Salt and Ansible; CI/CD tools like Argo and Jenkins; Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
