We are proud to amplify industry efforts to reduce GHG emissions from oil and gas production and support Indigenous participation and prosperity.*Position Summary*CAPP is seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled *Analytics Engineer* to support strategic decision-making through robust data analysis, infrastructure design, and data governance. This role bridges business analysis with technical execution, focused on data quality and scalable data processes. This is a strategic, non-partisan role that builds strong relationships within both the public sector and corporate settings to implement effective advocacy strategies. The Analytics Engineer is a key part of the Research and Data team, reporting to the Vice President, Research and Data.*Responsibilities** Design and document scalable methodologies for data collection, validation, and analysis.* Build and maintain data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting tools.* Analyze and interpret complex datasets and translate the findings into actionable insights.* Ensure data integrity through auditing, validation checks, and data governance practices.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business needs with technical data solutions.* Deliver high-quality, visually compelling reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.* Stay current on emerging technologies in cloud computing, AI, and analytics tools relevant to the energy industry.*Expectations of an Analyst Level Role at CAPP** Deliver assigned tasks on time, accurately, and in collaboration with team members while coordinating with other teams when necessary.* Prioritize personal workload to meet deadlines and ensure the completion of project responsibilities within scope.* Contribute to team decisions and understand the impact of tasks on broader organizational objectives.* Support team members, seek growth opportunities, and participate in performance reviews to enhance personal effectiveness.* Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and provide updates on project progress, schedules, and budget impacts.* Adapt to new processes and organizational strategies while participating in meetings with internal and external stakeholders.* Demonstrate CAPP?s Guiding Principles of High Performance, Collaboration, and Integrity to ensure that organizational practices consistently reflect our culture.*Job Requirements** Minimum 5 years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, business analysis, or a similar role.* Post-secondary degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or related fields.* Strong familiarity with the oil and gas industry, with experience working with large, complex data sets.* Strong understanding of data structures, data warehousing, and data governance principles.* Experience building and maintaining data pipelines.* Experience with web scraping, API integration, SQL, Python or R, and data visualization tools like Power BI or similar.* Proficient in
