Position Overview

Autodesk is looking for a DevOps Developer to join the Autodesk Platform Services Data Models Team . The team delivers high-value, exabyte-scale and cloud data platform components powering desktop, mobile, and web products. This enables our product teams to build cohesive in-product data experiences, our partners to integrate and expand our data, and our end-users to work with their data across all Autodesk products.

You will report to the Software Development Manager - DevOps based in Canada, and the role is hybrid based in Montreal or Toronto. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of and to help evolve developing the engineering discipline in a lean / Agile environment and to contribute to an organization committed to continuous improvement. You will be part of the team who creates amazing things and will learn from some of the best in the industry! Responsibilities

  • Participate in all aspects of software development, creating and maintaining reliable, secure, performant, and high-throughput services using cloud technology.
  • Partner with product managers, product owners, software architects, and other teams to iteratively turn high-level requirements into product enhancements delivered incrementally.
  • Contribute to software design and architecture by using cloud design patterns and injecting your cloud expertise into the entire development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to process improvements and deliverables that increase team effectiveness in responding to customer needs.
  • Document and present ideas and solutions thoroughly.
  • Work with some of the smartest professionals and also teach us.
  • Experiment, learn, and grow.
  • Utilize the latest cloud technologies.
  • Deliver code used by millions.
  • Mentor others and be mentored.
  • Make key decisions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 1+ years of experience in DevOps.
  • AWS production experience with cloud infrastructure.
  • Understanding & curiosity about DevOps and site reliability engineering practices, architectures, and methods.
  • Customer-facing and service-oriented mindset.
  • Strong understanding of Cloud Networking concepts.
  • Experience with Kubernetes / ECS environments.
  • Experience with configuration management tools and cloud automation (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Experience defining and implementing CI / CD processes with tools like Jenkins or Spinnaker.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Experience with Docker containerization.
  • Knowledge of networking and security concepts.
  • Experience with SDLC processes, tools, and Agile methodologies.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Strong programming skills, preferably in Java.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like New Relic or Splunk.
