Job summary

impact.com is seeking a DevOps/Cloud Engineer in Victoria, Canada to design, build, and deploy automated pipelines and infrastructure as code in a Google Cloud environment. You will work hands-on to optimize the software delivery lifecycle and enable scalable operations.

The role emphasizes automation across CI/CD, code quality monitoring, security scans, and configuration management, with Terraform, Jenkins, and Gradle/Maven proficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Cloud/DevOps/Platform Engineer in a Google Cloud (GCP) environment.
• Automation and Configuration Management.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, preferably Jenkins administration and pipelines.
• Experience using Terraform to provision resources.
• Programming and/or scripting language competency (Shell, Java, Groovy).
• Gradle with Groovy configuration or Maven experience.
• Strong initiative and collaboration skills.

Your Role at impact.com:

As a DevOps/Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for working hands-on to design, develop and implement processes that automate the build, staging, release & deployment of the software platform. You will also be responsible for infrastructure provisioning through build pipelines. As an enabler of engineering, you will have a direct impact on the productivity of the systems development life cycle.

What You’ll Do:

The main purpose of the DevOps/Cloud Engineer is to homogenize development and operations, and to create a collaborative and complementary development culture. The methods through which this is most pronounced is automation; including, but not limited to:

• Continuous integration & deployment
• Continuous code quality monitoring
• Continuous security scanning & license compliance monitoring
• Configuration management
• Infrastructure as Code
• Increase efficiency and optimal use of organizational resources
• Increase cross-team collaboration and employee satisfaction
• Support engineers in debugging & resolving issues surrounding build and staging & production deployments

What You’ll Bring:

• Previous experience as a Cloud / DevOps / Platform Engineer in a Google Cloud (GCP) environment
• Automation and Configuration Management
• CI/CD tools, preferably experience in Jenkins administration and writing pipelines
• Experience with Terraform to programmatically provision the required resources
• Experience using building tools
• Programming and/or scripting language competency, with at least one of; Shell, Java, Groovy
• Gradle with Groovy configuration & plugin authoring, or equivalent Maven experience
• Self starter / Adaptability / Drive / Social Skills / Personal Development / Initiative

Nice to Have:

• Affiliate & Partnerships Industry Fundamentals Certification by PXA

Salary Range:

Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000 CAD per year, plus an additional 5% variable annual bonus contingent on Company performance with eligibility to receive Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) grant. *This is the pay range the Company believes is equitable for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
