General Description of the Role

The role of the ERP (C#) Programmer involves independently developing, modifying, and maintaining complex programs that produce various interrelated products such as Procurement, Sales, Financials, and Production.

The ERP (C#) Programmer performs programming analysis, investigates the feasibility of developing alternative programs, assists users in defining needs, and participates in engineering change proposals (ECP) and large, complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Confirm project requirements by reviewing program objectives, input data, and output requirements with analysts, supervisors, and clients.
  • Encode project requirements by translating workflow information into computer language.
  • Verify program operation through testing and modify sequences or codes as needed.
  • Prepare user references by writing operating instructions, presenting clear plans, and estimating project timelines.
  • Maintain historical records by documenting development and revisions.
  • Analyze existing software for integration, lead resolution of integration issues, and serve as a subject matter expert for technical integration and implementation.
  • Provide user training as needed.
  • Identify defects early through code inspections to reduce errors.

Education

DEC or BAC degree in computer science, mathematics, or information systems, with knowledge of programming languages.

Experience

At least 3 years of programming experience, including ERP, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Software

C#; Visual Studio; SSRS; SQL Server; Microsoft Office; Crystal Reports; ERP. Epicor and HTML are assets.
