Job description

Join to apply for the Développeur cloud VM (senior) role at CGI.

As a Senior Cloud Developer, you'll be part of a global team based between Montreal and Paris, responsible for our public cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. You will serve as the primary contact for the Latin America and Caribbean region, collaborating with teams utilizing the platform across various business lines.

The team uses scripting technologies such as Terraform, shell scripts, and PowerShell, and develops tools, portals, and APIs in .Net or Java to offer additional services. You will work closely with the Big Data team managing DataLake on Azure, participating in platform design, implementation, and support, as well as contributing to integration projects.

Your duties and responsibilities

• Develop automation scripts to provision Azure services, considering security constraints.
• Maintain, upgrade existing Azure services, and liaise with Microsoft for incidents.
• Create tools for cloud services like cost tracking and resilience controls, and develop templates to promote cloud adoption.
• Manage the CI/CD pipeline for development and testing.
• Train and advise new Azure users on architecture and solutions.

Qualifications

Technical Skills:

• Experience with Azure, especially virtual machines.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and Terraform.
• Understanding of CI/CD practices.
• Knowledge of networking (gateways, private endpoints).

Assets:

• Good communication skills.
• Knowledge of Ansible, Packer, Chocolatey.
• Bilingual in French and English.
• Degree in computer science, DEC, or equivalent certifications.
