An outstanding opportunity is available to join the Division of Developmental Pediatrics at BC Children's Hospital/Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children and the University of British Columbia as a clinician with a broad range of abilities. The work will involve our complex developmental disorders diagnostic programs and our inpatient and outpatient neuromotor program, depending on the individual's experience.
The Child Development and Rehabilitation Program (CDR) at Sunny Hill provides consultation and community support for managing children with disabilities. The role involves working with interdisciplinary teams to provide evidence-based services to children with rehabilitation needs, including those with neuromotor conditions and brain injuries.
The Division comprises 23 members and operates within a program management model that fosters inter-professional collaboration. It also offers a Royal College approved training program in Developmental Pediatrics.
The successful candidate must have a fellowship in Pediatrics from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, subspecialty training and certification in Developmental Pediatrics (FRCPC), or equivalent training from another country. Eligibility to obtain a specialist's license to practice medicine in British Columbia is required.
The appointment (rank based on experience) will be within the Department of Pediatrics and involve clinical care, teaching, and potentially quality improvement initiatives. The start date is negotiable. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
