Job summary

Ottawa Catholic School Board in Ottawa, Ontario is seeking a Developmental Assistant at Thomas D'arcy McGee School for a 10-month term. This CUPE 2357 Level 5 position is 35 hours per week with salary noted as $49,117 to $52,809 annually, prorated if part-time.

Responsibilities include planning and implementing programs for students with exceptional needs, developing motor, communication and self-regulation skills, and assisting with progress evaluation and general school activities.

Qualifications

• Developmental Services Worker diploma, Nursing, Health Sciences or an equivalent program.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

This is a 10-month permanent position with an annual salary range of $49,117 to $52,809 ($32.63 to $35.08 hourly)(to be prorated if part-time hours). A partial, or full employees benefits package is also provided, depending on the hours. Part Time Developmental Assistants are system hires based on staffing allocations from Student Services and the hours may change from time to time.

The start date is approximately November 4, 2026.
