Job summary

Daily Bread Food Bank in Toronto is seeking a Development Officer for Corporate and Community Partnerships. You will cultivate and steward donor relationships, manage community partners, and drive fundraising initiatives in a hybrid work setting.

The role supports the Development team, reports to Senior Development Officers, and involves event coordination, proposals, and impact reporting. Requires 3–5 years in nonprofit fundraising and strong relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• Build strong relationships with donors, partners, board members, senior leadership, volunteers, and staff to achieve goals.
• Proven ability to close gifts in the $1,000+ range.
• Excellent planning, organization, and project management skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage a pipeline of community partners (fundraising and food drive organizers).
• Provide account/relationship management, fundraising/food drive coaching, and technical support.
• Post-fundraising stewardship with thank you emails/letters/calls; maintain partner appreciation and impact clarity.
• Attend community events to present, thank donors, and photograph cheque presentations as needed.
• Liaise with organizers and Transportation team to schedule food drive pickups/drop-offs and track activity in the database.
