Job summary

The Town of Caledon is seeking a Project Manager, Development Inspections to lead inspections and coordination for development and capital projects. You will ensure work aligns with approved drawings, subdivision agreements, and Town specifications while managing compliance and performance reporting.

Ideal candidates have municipal engineering experience, a relevant post-secondary credential, and professional licensure or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree/diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Environmental Studies, Transportation, or closely related field.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with PEO or eligible/licensed OR a Certified Engineering Technologist (OACETT) with registration.
• Minimum 3–5 years of related municipal engineering experience including development/construction exposure.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of subdivision and site plan construction projects (roads, sewers, sidewalks, grading, lighting).
• Issue compliance orders, deficiency notices, stop work orders and provide project performance reporting.
• Coordinate with developers, consultants, and contractors to ensure Town standards and specifications.
• Provide recommendations on subdivision acceptance and release of securities.
• Investigate and respond to inquiries from the public, Council, and regulatory agencies.
