Position Description
Reporting to the Director of Development, the Development Grant Writer identifies and pursues grant opportunities from government, foundations, and private sources to advance the university’s strategic priorities. They write persuasive and compelling fundraising proposal content, and letters for individuals, corporations and foundations. This includes research and information gathering, along with preparation of the proposals and reports in audience-appropriate format.
The Development Grant Writer works collaboratively with the Marketing & Communication team, Donor Relations Officer – Communications, and other members of University Advancement and the campus community.
