Reporting to the Vice-President, as the Development Coordinator you are responsible to coordinate the pre-construction phase planning of multi-family developments, including both apartments and townhomes. You also ensure that all pre-construction activities align with regulatory requirements and project objectives, contributing to the successful realization of development projects.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include :
- Assisting with site feasibility analysis and due diligence on land acquisitions, including creating multi-family development concepts, reviewing viability of servicing and permitting.
- Reviewing and providing recommendations on land purchase agreements prior to execution.
- Preparing documentation for development applications and ensuring all regulatory project approvals are obtained in a timely manner.
- Coordinating development approvals from municipal authorities including public engagement.
- Participating in the design development of projects, collaborating with internal team, Architects, Planners, and Engineers to optimize project outcomes.
- Tracking development schedules, milestone dates, and approval timelines, providing regular updates to Senior Management.
- Assisting in the transition from development to construction by ensuring all permits, approvals, and conditions are fulfilled and well documented.

- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design or Engineering.
- Minimum 1 year experience in real estate development, urban planning, engineering or related field.
- Minimum 1 year experience using AutoCAD or other computer aided design / drafting software.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
- Comfortable using office equipment, and proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint andPowerPoint) and experienced with AutoCAD or similar.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in Architecture, City Planning, or Landscape Architecture is beneficial but not required.

Working Conditions
You primarily work in an office setting during regular business hours. Overtime may be occasionally required.
