About The Job

We seek an Open Source Developer Relations & Community Engagement Specialist to integrate Klara’s technical contributions into the broader open source community. This role combines technical advocacy with community development, focusing on enhancing our presence and fostering growth within the FreeBSD, OpenZFS, and embedded systems communities.

This role demands a versatile individual who is comfortable working in a startup environment, collaborating with large enterprises, and effectively bridging the gap between different teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Actively integrate Klara’s technical contributions into the open source communities of FreeBSD and OpenZFS.
2. Develop and nurture relationships with community members, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation.
3. Organize and conduct webinars, help with technical talks, and help write articles that elevate Klara’s work and contributions to the community and create awareness around Klara’s open source efforts.
4. Represent or help the team represent Klara at community events, conferences, and meetups, engaging with the audience and providing insights into our technologies and projects.
5. Create and execute strategies for community development and engagement, including forums, social media platforms, and collaborative projects.
6. Gather and analyze community feedback to guide Klara’s future contributions and product development.
7. Collaborate with marketing teams to amplify Klara’s presence and impact within these communities through various channels.
8. Collaborate closely with the marketing team to ensure a consistent and impactful external message about Klara’s contributions and role in the open source community.
9. Work in tandem with the marketing department to develop a cohesive brand narrative across various platforms, ensuring that our community engagement efforts and technical contributions are effectively communicated to a wider audience, thereby enhancing Klara’s visibility and influence in the open source sector.
