Job description

The Developer will contribute to delivering effective technological solutions and applications to meet Wealth Management business needs. The developer will participate in the timely delivery of projects and ad hoc work requests as needed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Participating in meetings to gather user requirements and design during project development
  • Performing coding, unit testing, debugging, documenting, and implementing applications and scripts in collaboration with quality assurance
  • Working with Business Clients to interpret and negotiate business requirements for system development projects
  • Maintaining, supporting, and enhancing existing applications
  • Analyzing projects for feasibility and estimating timelines
  • Assisting in building functional specifications and documentation, including workflow design and data validation, and working with the Dev Lead/Project Manager to finalize these
  • Conducting IST and regression testing as required
  • Staying updated on new technology applications, scripts, and servers

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficiency in Java EE (JSP, Servlets, JSTL, JAX-RS, JAXB, JAX-WS)
  • Experience with Java frameworks (Struts, Spring, JDBC, Hibernate) and design patterns
  • Experience with Sybase or Oracle databases (SQL, PL/SQL)
  • Knowledge of web technologies (XSLT, XML, XSD, HTML, JavaScript), SOAP, and REST services
  • Experience with build automation tools like Apache Maven
  • Proficiency with UNIX/Linux shell scripting
  • Experience with JBoss, MQ, Eclipse, Tomcat
  • Knowledge of Cloud technologies and building API services
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and a results-oriented mindset
  • Understanding of systems development techniques, requirements specification, testing methodologies, and real-time analytical tools
