Salit Steel seeks a full-time Rebar Detailer to create precise rebar placement drawings and coordinate with production and external stakeholders. The role reports to the Detailing Manager and offers opportunities to lead the Detailing team in the future.

Responsibilities include producing 2D drawings using MicroStation and CAD, ensuring adherence to project estimates, and coordinating delivery timelines with clients and the production team.

Qualifications

• Produce 2D drawings in MicroStation and CAD knowledge.
• AutoCAD training/experience preferred.
• Civil/concrete construction experience preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a full-time permanent Rebar Detailer, who will be reporting directly to the Detailing Manager. In this position the Detailer is responsible for creating clear and accurate rebar placement drawings, coordinating with key external stakeholders, and submitting orders to the production team. The ideal candidate has interest in eventually leading the Detailing team.

POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Produce 2D drawings in Microstation and have a working knowledge of CAD
• Ensure materials and time allocation are within estimated parameters of projects
• Administration of miscellaneous parts of contracts
• Plan and coordinate product delivery dates with external clients

working conditions

The successful incumbent will be working 40+ hours per week in an office setting as well as occasional site visits. Frequent and regular use of the computer is required as well as exposure to the elements and loud noises are possible.
