Job summary

Haldimand Motors is seeking a Detailer to clean and detail vehicles to dealership standards, ensuring interiors and exteriors are in top condition for customer delivery. You will support the sales team by keeping a clean, organized workspace and following safety protocols while delivering high-quality service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid drivers license with a clean record is required.
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Experience with cleaning products and cleaning tools (power washers is a plus).
• Dependable with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Able to meet physical demands (heavy lifting, standing long periods, power tools).
• Legal authorization to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Detail interior and exterior of inbound and sold vehicles to dealership standards.
• Carry out general detailing: vacuuming, deodorizing, washing.
• Ensure exteriors are clean and smudge-free; apply paint sealant.
• Detail interiors: wipe dashboards, vacuum, clean floor mats.
• Polish wheels and rims; use hand-held tools for detailing.
• Notify supervisor of parts needing repair or replacement.
• Complete quality control checklist.
• Perform other repair duties as required.

Your area of focus.

The Sales Department Detailer is responsible for cleaning and detailing vehicles to dealership standards, ensuring both the interior and exterior are in excellent condition for customer delivery. This role supports the sales team by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and following safety protocols while providing high-quality service.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Responsible for the detailing of interior and exterior of incoming and sold vehicles
• Perform general car detailing activities, including, vacuuming, deodorizing, and washing
• Ensure the exterior of cars are clean and smudge free
• Detailing interiors, wiping dash, vacuuming, and washing floor mats
• Apply paint sealant
• Clean and polish wheels and rims
• Use a variety of hand-held tools to detail the interior and exterior of cars
• Notify supervisor or appropriate technician when you notice parts of car that require repair or replacement
• Complete quality control checklist
• Perform other repair duties as required

What Are The Must-haves…

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles
• Experience working with cleaning products and cleaning tools including power washers is an asset
• Must be dependable, reliable, possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively
• Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time and using power tools and hand-held equipment
• You must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Compensation

The expected range of compensation for this position is $17.60 – $19 Hourly — Plus bonus. The actual compensation offered will be based on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, education, skills and experience. This position will also be eligible to participate in the Company's annual cash bonus program, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents.
