Job summary

Bridges Chevrolet in Canada is seeking a Service Department Detailer to clean and detail vehicles to dealership standards, ensuring both interior and exterior are in excellent condition for customer delivery. This role supports the service team by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and following safety protocols while providing high-quality service.

The position involves detailing interiors and exteriors, applying sealant, polishing wheels, and using various hand-held tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Interest in automotive industry and knowledge about vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Experience using cleaning products and cleaning tools (power washers is a plus).
• Must be dependable, detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to meet physical demands (heavy lifting, standing long periods, using tools).
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Detail interior and exterior of customer vehicles.
• Perform cleaning activities: vacuuming, deodorizing, washing.
• Ensure exteriors are clean and smear-free.
• Detail interiors: wipe dash, vacuum, wash floor mats.
• Apply paint sealant and polish wheels/rims.
• Use hand-held tools to detail vehicles.
• Notify supervisor of repairs needed.
• Complete quality control checklist.
• Perform other repair duties as required.

Your area of focus.

The Service Department Detailer is responsible for cleaning and detailing vehicles to dealership standards, ensuring both the interior and exterior are in excellent condition for customer delivery. This role supports the service team by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and following safety protocols while providing high-quality service.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Responsible for the detailing of interior and exterior of customer vehicles


• Perform general car detailing activities, including, vacuuming, deodorizing, and washing


• Ensure the exterior of cars are clean and smudge free


• Detailing interiors, wiping dash, vacuuming, and washing floor mats


• Apply paint sealant


• Clean and polish wheels and rims


• Use a variety of hand-held tools to detail the interior and exterior of cars


• Notify supervisor or appropriate technician when you notice parts of car that require repair or replacement


• Complete quality control checklist


• Perform other repair duties as required

What are the must-haves…

Compensation

The expected range of compensation for this position is $18 – $19 Hourly — No bonus. The actual compensation offered will be based on a variety of factors, including job‑related knowledge, education, skills and experience.
