Salary :

Titan Trailers Inc. is seeking a skilled Production Engineering Designer to develop and prepare engineering drawings using Creo, ensuring all designs meet specifications and project requirements. This position offers the unique opportunity to work directly with the CEO, collaborating closely to align design projects with the company's vision and goals. The ideal candidate will engage with management and production teams to deliver accurate documentation and comprehensive drawing sets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create detailed part and assembly drawings for steel and aluminum trailers, including precise bills of materials, using Creo software.
  • Update and revise existing drawings following established engineering change procedures and ANSI drawing standards.
  • Liaise with production personnel to resolve drawing and design-related issues.
  • Verify design drawings for compliance with specifications and design data.
  • Provide prompt support to the shop floor to address production challenges involving manufacturing specifications and bills of materials.
  • Work closely with the CEO to ensure designs prioritize safety, efficiency, functionality, and manufacturability.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to current trailer designs aligned with senior leadership objectives.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience or training with Creo and Windchill PDMLink (or similar Product Data Management software) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a related engineering / design field.
  • Knowledge or experience designing transport trailers is a significant advantage.
  • Familiarity with engineering change procedures, ANSI drawing standards, and ERP systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong work ethic, a positive collaborative team mindset, and the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels, including direct communication with the CEO.

Working Conditions

  • Requires manual dexterity for computer and peripheral use.
  • Occasional lifting of moderately heavy objects may be necessary.
  • Overtime as needed.

Regular hours are 7:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday and 7:00 am to 12 noon on Friday.

The starting wage for this position depends on experience and training. Upon successful completion of a 6-month probationary period, the candidate will be eligible for our benefits package, including health, dental, life insurance, Group RRSP, and safety boot allowance.
