Reporting to the Project Manager, the Senior Project Designer will be responsible for all facets of design for our existing and prospective Utility clients.

What You'll Do Here :

• Complete design drawings and calculations that satisfy all applicable code and regulation requirements (ESA, OESC, CSA, REG 22 / 04, etc.)
• Prepare design schedules, material/labor estimates, permit applications, and construction packages
• Conduct pre-design inspections, worksite visits, and provide construction support
• Prepare reports on the status and results of completed and in-progress design projects
• Prepare technical reports as required by the client and project team
• Utilize various utility design software and tools
• Support in the preparation of RFP submissions
• Demonstrate strong presentation skills, both written and oral
• Mentor and lead junior team members, perform design quality control
• Aid in the development of design processes
• Establish and build relationships with key clients and stakeholders
• Perform other duties as required

What You Bring to the Team :

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering (or equivalent) or College Diploma
• 8+ years' experience designing and drafting OH & UG electrical distribution systems
• Registration with the P.E.O or CET is considered an asset
• Experience in engineering consulting & program management are considered assets
• Stations and Streetlighting design experience are considered assets
• Strong computer skills required – experience with AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation / ProjectWise, SAP, SpidaCalc, AGi32 streetlighting software, and 3-D software experience is considered an asset
• Proven interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with a diverse group of individuals
• Ability to travel for projects (Valid G driver's license and access to a vehicle required)
• Proven ability to take initiative and demonstrate leadership
