A progressive design agency is seeking a remote Designer to join its team for an 8-month leave cover contract, focusing on projects that promote social good. The selected candidate will coordinate design efforts across various platforms, ensuring high-quality output for marketing and communications initiatives. This is a remote position, based anywhere in Canada. This is an 8-month leave cover contract from January to August 2026, with the possibility of extension.
Experience designing for social good:You are familiar with designing with Indigenous clientele, and those with lived experiences. Having an understanding of the nexus between social movement organizing and digital communications.
Branding expertise:Experience working on brand projects of all shapes and sizes. You have a keen eye for detail, and are invested in the rebrand process from intake meeting to handoff.
You sweat the detail:Impeccable execution and deep care given to all aspects of design, large and small: strategy, messaging, brand, colors, typography, icons — everything.
The Designer is a critical part of the project team at Emdash, working on all design and creative aspects of projects and campaigns. The Designer develops creative graphic content for projects and campaigns and contributes to the strategic growth of Emdash.
