The Role

This contract position, lasting one year with potential extension, involves working with the Project Manager in the Engineering Department. The primary responsibilities include preparing heat tracing isometrics, panel board schedules, cable schedules, instrument schedules, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and location plans using AutoCAD. Independent contractors are encouraged to apply.

What You Will Do

• Prepare heat tracing isometrics, panel board schedules, cable schedules, instrument schedules, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and location plans using AutoCAD and MicroStation as needed.
• Design heat tracing systems according to customer specifications to ensure satisfaction and profitability.
• Review project specifications and documentation to understand the scope of work.
• Follow project requirements, quality standards, schedules, and technical restrictions.
• Adhere to established processes and procedures, including the Project Design and Execution Guides, and the Quality Plan, providing feedback for improvements.
• Maintain the Project Design folder structure.
• Contribute to the development of global and regional tools and procedures as required.

Knowledge & Qualifications

• A university degree in Engineering is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in EHT designs is required.

Requirements and Skills

• Proficiency in heat tracing design, with technical knowledge of piping & insulation systems and P&IDs, including governing codes.
• Proficiency in drafting in AutoCAD.
• Ability to generate innovative ideas, challenge the status quo, support change, encourage innovation, and solve problems creatively.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for team members, supervisors, and clients.
