Overview

Designer de mode - Fashion Designer role at TRISTAN. TRISTAN is a Quebec-based family business with over 50 years of history, known for its local know‑how, the quality of its garments and exceptional customer service. We are looking for a Designer de mode to contribute to the development of our women’s collections, involved in all stages of the creative process from trend research to sketch design, material selection and collaboration with internal teams.

We are looking for a candidate who combines strong garment-making techniques with the ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the development of collections.
  • Propose and develop drawings according to seasonal themes.
  • Suggest fabrics and colors.
  • Produce technical drawings with Adobe Illustrator and prepare tech packs in the PLM system.
  • Create, develop and edit detailed technical files, including sketches and bill of materials (components and trims).
  • Make adjustments to samples and update sketches as required.
  • Collaborate with production and product development teams.
  • Research new trends, target clientele and competitors.
Requirements
  • DEC in Fashion Design.
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of PLM software (an asset).
  • Bilingualism (French and advanced English) to communicate with some international vendors.
