Job summary

An established real estate development company in Saskatoon seeks a full-time designer / CAD operator to create conceptual and buildable CAD drawings. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in construction and design, is proficient in SketchUp and CAD, and is organized and team-oriented. Applicants will be expected to provide a portfolio of their work when interviewed.

Job description

An established real estate development company is seeking applications for the position of designer / CAD operator .

Requirements :

• Minimum 5 years practical experience in construction / design
• Strong comprehension of construction
• Good eye for interior and exterior building design
• Familiarity with, and knowledge of, available materials
• Experience sourcing and ordering finishing materials
• Excellent skills in SketchUp and CAD; REVIT skills are an asset
• Ability to take direction to ensure employer's vision for the concept is met, provide input, and timely develop conceptual SketchUp drawings to meet the vision
• Knowledge of construction that allows the successful candidate to independently create buildable CAD drawings based on conceptual drawings
• Ability to take direction or to work self-directed on some tasks
• Good organizational skills and the ability to produce work in accordance with schedule
• Team player, who does their part without delegation of duties to others
• Fully fluent in English communication skills
• Available to work full-time in an office position in Saskatoon. This is not a work from home position
• Resume with verifiable references at time of application

Pay is commensurate with the experience and proven ability required to perform the duties. Applicants being interviewed will be asked to produce a portfolio of prior projects they have worked on and their specific role in those projects.
