The Role

The CIT team is a dynamic and innovative group dedicated to advancing hardware development. We are seeking a skilled and motivated verification engineer to join our growing team and contribute to the success of cutting-edge IPs. The ideal candidate will be involved in all aspects of design verification activities, utilizing the latest methodologies with automation, focusing on power and performance. You will develop and utilize various verification components to ensure high RTL/Firmware design quality.

The CIT team specializes in AMD chiplet technology. The Verification group develops a scalable DV flow emphasizing automation, power, and performance. Our global team values continuous technical innovation and career development.

The Person

The candidate should demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail. Excellent communication and writing skills, along with the ability to work effectively in teams and maintain strong interpersonal relationships, are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and scale verification team supporting future chiplet interconnects for servers, data centers, and AI accelerators
  • Collaborate with architects and designers to develop verification strategies and plans
  • Verify complex IP blocks, owning key features across projects
  • Develop test plans, test cases, enhance testbenches, and manage regression and coverage
  • Implement industry-leading verification methodologies such as UVM and Formal Verification
  • Develop verification components like UVCs, models, BFMs, and reusable environments
  • Create and maintain test cases and libraries in SystemVerilog/UVM
  • Analyze functional, code, and test coverage
  • Implement assertions, checkers, and monitors
  • Debug regressions and reproduce silicon bugs in simulation or formal tools
  • Participate in code reviews
Preferred Experience
  • 10+ years of hardware verification experience; leadership experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in verification of high-speed IO and interconnects like PCIe; chiplet interconnect experience is a strong plus
  • Proficient in Verilog, SystemVerilog, UVM, and comfortable in Linux and Windows environments
  • ASIC design knowledge with the ability to debug Verilog RTL code
  • Strong programming skills and scripting experience (Perl, Python, Ruby)
Academic Credentials

Bachelor's or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering preferred.

Markham or Vancouver, Canada.
