Base pay range

$150,400.00/yr - $225,600.00/yr

The Role

AMD is seeking an experienced Design Verification Engineer to verify part of the UALink/PCIe Controller Design. You will work on cutting-edge technology powering gaming consoles, servers, PCs, graphics cards, and VR sets. Your responsibilities include verifying critical sub-systems, integrating lower-level IPs, and delivering verified sub-systems to the SoC. The role involves verifying architectures balancing power and performance, developing high-complexity RTL code, verification components, and advanced testbenches using leading-edge techniques.

The Person

The ideal candidate collaborates with architects and verification leads, is highly accurate and detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication, mentoring, leadership, and problem-solving skills. You should work well with cross-functional teams, drive tasks from start to finish with high quality, and be eager to learn and perform at your best. Flexibility in working hours to accommodate different time zones is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute functional verification from test planning to signoff.
  • Collaborate with architects and designers to understand IP features.
  • Write, implement, and review test plans.
  • Verify high-speed digital designs using coverage-driven random and directed testing, formal verification.
  • Manage verification flow, coverage convergence, and sign-off for features and sub-system IP interoperability.
  • Build testbench components, develop test and sequence libraries using UVM methodology.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Provide technical leadership, owning verification from start to finish and ensuring sign-off.
Preferred Experience
  • Proven experience verifying successful IPs, subsystems, or SoCs.
  • Ability to mentor junior and senior engineers, be a strong team player, and positively influence team culture.
  • Expertise in SystemVerilog, UVM.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming, scripting (Ruby, Python, Perl), low-level languages.
  • Knowledge of PC system architecture: PCIe, SATA, USB, Ethernet, HyperTransport, x86, ARM.
  • Understanding of bus/interface protocols (AXI, AHB, AMBA, OCP, PIPE).
  • Experience with simulation profiling, acceleration, HLS tools/process.
  • Self-starter, capable of driving tasks independently and efficiently.
  • Strong communication, time management, and presentation skills.
Academic Credentials
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering.
