Job summary

eBay is seeking a Design Technologist to bridge design and engineering, crafting internal tools and enterprise products across web and native stacks. You’ll solve problems with rapid exploration and a passion for immersive experiences, collaborating with design, engineering, and business partners to elevate product quality.

You’ll shape design technology by building tools, APIs, and production-ready code, always aligning with design vision and partner goals to drive innovative customer

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of front-end or full-stack development, UI engineering, design technology, or similar roles.
• Proficiency in modern web development technologies such as JavaScript (ES6), TypeScript, and various JS frameworks and tools.
• Hands-on experience in building Figma plugins and using the Figma API.
• Demonstrated expertise in working with and constructing APIs, including REST and GraphQL.
• Familiarity with animation tools and libraries such as Three.js, WebGL, GSAP, Lottie, and Rive.
• Working knowledge of Git/Github and proficiency in common Git workflows.
• Experience in native development, especially Swift/SwiftUI, or Android Compose.
• Proficiency in setting up and managing production deployment pipelines, CI/CD processes and related tools and practices.
• Proficiency in leading design tools like Figma, Creative Cloud, etc.

• Collaborate closely with designers and product leads to translate concepts into sophisticated, interactive prototypes.

• Serve as a liaison between design and development, ensuring the integrity of design vision through meticulously crafted, production-ready code.

Additional Details

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

C$110,400 - C$147,400

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including RRSP eligibility, various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
