WSP, based in Sudbury or Thunder Bay, is seeking an Intermediate Technician, Design Support to join a civil design team focused on municipal infrastructure.

You’ll strengthen AutoCAD and Civil 3D capabilities while developing drawings for roads, drainage, and utilities under engineers and designers, contributing to quality deliverables.

Formación

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.
• Drafting or design-support experience with municipal infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D for design models.
• Familiarity with grading, municipal servicing, drainage, utilities, and roadworks.

Based in Sudbury or Thunder Bay, you will contribute as an Intermediate Technician, Design Support within a collaborative civil design team. You will help develop municipal infrastructure—including roads, drainage systems, and utilities-while strengthening your AutoCAD and Civil 3D capabilities alongside experienced engineers and designers.

Your Impact

• Produce civil engineering drawings for municipal roads, drainage systems, utilities, and other infrastructure that supports growing communities.
• Develop and revise AutoCAD and Civil 3D models and drawings using clear engineering direction and applicable design standards.
• Strengthen the accuracy and quality of design deliverables through disciplined drafting, checking, and revision control.
• Maintain organized drawing packages and project documentation so teams can work efficiently throughout the design process.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to incorporate technical feedback, resolve drafting issues, and refine practical design solutions.
• Contribute quantity take-offs and foundational design support that help projects move from concept toward delivery.

• A diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field that supports municipal infrastructure design.
• Drafting or design-support experience involving municipal infrastructure, civil works, or a comparable consulting environment.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D for preparing and revising accurate design models and drawing packages.
• Familiarity with civil design fundamentals such as grading, municipal servicing, drainage, utilities, and roadworks.
• Ability to interpret engineering direction, apply relevant municipal standards, and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Capability to collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals, communicate design questions clearly, and incorporate technical feedback into deliverables.

Compensation

• AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $29.50 - $39.10 per hour
• MB & ON: $26.90 - $37.10 per hour
• NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $26.60 - $35.40 per hour
