About the Role :

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Design Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the success of high-profile design-build projects by supporting the design process from concept through completion. You’ll ensure that all designs meet contractual and industry standards while delivering innovative, cost-effective, and constructible solutions. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive seamless project execution and uphold our commitment to design excellence.

As a Design Specialist at Graham you will :

Lead design consultations and manage teaming and design service agreements.

Oversee design production to ensure alignment with project timelines and deliverables.

Validate designs for compliance, constructability, cost-effectiveness, and competitiveness.

Coordinate closely with Bid and Project Execution teams to align design with project goals.

Manage design consultants to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and industry standards.

Liaise with Procurement and Construction teams to ensure design compliance and mitigate risks.

Conduct audits of design documents to ensure quality and consistency.

Manage clash detection processes and oversee resolution of technical queries and RFIs.

Monitor material quantities and manage variances to maintain cost efficiency.

Identify and quantify design risks; contribute to monthly budget forecasts.

Review and resolve design quality issues and contract variances, escalating to the Commercial Manager as needed.

Maintain and manage the design schedule in alignment with the master project schedule.

Qualifications / Experience :

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical, business, or scientific field.

3–5 years of experience in roles such as Project Coordinator, Project Manager, Construction Manager, or Technical Manager is an asset.

Excellent technical writing and documentation abilities.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite and BIM tools such as Navisworks (3D / 4D) and Revit.
