We’re here for it. We think you should be too. We’re seeking a driven professional with an inclusive mindset and a background in interior design or furniture sales to join our team as a Design & Sales Expert, focusing on Ontario's Simcoe Region. This role will be remote within those communities.

This new position of a Simcoe-based Remote Design & Sales Expert will connect the store with customers outside its primary radius, selling products through in-home and virtual consultations. Using design tools and services, you'll help plan and design spaces, delivering an elevated customer experience. Your expertise, teamwork, passion for design, and creative selling skills will help maximize sales growth and profitability.


A day in the life as a Remote Design & Sales Expert...

  • Drive sales and create a differentiated experience through enriching customer interactions and offering elevated design services both in-home and virtually.
  • Create elevated designs using preferred design tools, including moodboards, 2D & 3D floor plans, product lists, and presentations.
  • Identify and reach out to potential customers, businesses, and industries via networking platforms and outreach efforts.
  • Provide personalized sales and service experiences to build lasting relationships, encouraging repeat business.
  • Understand and embody the brand aesthetics and merchandising strategy.
  • Stay informed about product details, characteristics, care information, and industry trends, including competitors.
  • Meet individual sales, KPI, and service goals, maintaining productivity standards and demonstrating superior selling skills.
  • Support store training initiatives to educate on design services and offerings.

What you’ll bring to the table…

  • Ability to work in various locations, including remote, in-home, and occasionally in-store.
  • Basic understanding of design functions such as spatial planning, fabric selection, lighting, and interior styles.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively translate brand vision and customer needs.
  • Strong affinity for technology, including 2D & 3D tools, Google Suite, video conferencing, and iPads, with proficiency in floor planning.

We’d love to hear from you if you have…

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in furniture sales, home decor design, or retail/customer service.
  • Primary residence in Barrie.
  • Experience working one-on-one with clients and recommending solutions.
  • Proficiency with Google platforms, virtual communication, and design tools (preferred).
  • Reliable transportation and ability to commute to neighboring areas and North York (mileage reimbursement offered).
