We are seeking a driven professional with an inclusive mindset and a background in interior design or furniture sales to join our team as a Design & Sales Expert, focusing on the Ontario's Simcoe Region. This role is remote and aims to grow Crate & Barrel's brand within these communities.

The Remote Design & Sales Expert will connect with customers outside the store's primary radius, providing in-home and virtual consultations using design tools and services to plan and design their spaces. By delivering elevated designs and exceptional customer experiences, the expert will maximize sales growth and profitability through expertise, teamwork, passion for design, and creative selling skills.

A day in the life as a Remote Design & Sales Expert...
  • Drive sales by providing enriching customer interactions and elevated design offerings both in-home and virtually.
  • Create customized designs using preferred tools to develop moodboards, 2D & 3D floor plans, product lists, and presentations.
  • Identify and reach out to potential customers, businesses, and industries through networking and outreach efforts.
  • Build lasting relationships with customers through personalized service, encouraging repeat business.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of brand aesthetics and merchandising strategies.
  • Stay informed about product details, care information, and industry trends to provide accurate advice.
  • Achieve individual sales, KPI, and service goals, demonstrating superior selling skills and engagement.
  • Support store training on design services to promote understanding and adoption of these offerings.
What you'll bring to the table...
  • Flexibility to work in various locations, including from home, at customers' homes, and occasionally in-store.
  • Basic understanding of design functions such as spatial planning, fabric selection, lighting, and interior styles.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively translate brand vision and customer needs.
  • Strong affinity for technology, including 2D and 3D design tools, Google Suite, video conferencing, and iPad proficiency.
We'd love to hear from you if you have...
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in furniture sales, home decor design, or retail/customer service.
  • Primary residence in Barrie.
  • Experience working directly with clients and recommending solutions.
  • Proficiency in Google platforms, virtual communication, and design tools (preferred).
  • Reliable transportation and ability to commute to neighboring areas and North York (mileage reimbursement available).
