Job summary

V2Soft is seeking a Design Release Engineer in Windsor, Ontario to drive the design, development, and validation of automatic transmissions and driveline components. You will lead projects from concept to production, collaborating with CAE, NVH, durability, packaging, and manufacturing teams to ensure performance and reliability.

The ideal candidate has strong automotive engineering background, 3+ years in transmissions/driveline, and mentoring skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering; Master's preferred.
Minimum 3 years in automotive engineering focusing on transmissions and driveline.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to optimize designs.
Knowledge of transmissions and driveline components (PTU, RDM, gear reducers, axles, etc.).

Responsibilities

Lead design and development of transmissions, driveline systems, and components.
Collaborate with CAE, NVH, durability, vehicle dynamics, packaging, and manufacturing teams for integration and performance.
Develop and execute validation plans (DVP&R) including bench and vehicle testing.
Conduct root cause analysis and resolve technical issues.
Mentor and provide technical direction to other engineers.
Prepare technical reports and presentations to stakeholders.
Stay up-to-date with advancements in transmissions and driveline technologies.
