Position
Youngs Insurance Brokers is seeking a talented Design & Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for a creative professional who thrives in a multifaceted environment, combining strong graphic design skills with a passion for broader marketing initiatives. You'll play a key role in enhancing our brand presence across digital and traditional platforms while contributing to various marketing and communications projects.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Creative
- Create and develop visual ideas that align with project goals and brand identity
- Design layouts, graphics, logos, packaging, social media assets, and marketing materials
- Create compelling digital campaigns across social media, web, and email platforms
- Develop print materials including brochures, signage, and sales collateral
- Create market-leading promotional items, including t-shirts, hats, jackets, fleece, and packaging
- Design graphics for email campaigns and website banners
- Ensure all deliverables maintain consistency and adhere to brand guidelines
Video & Multimedia
- Film, edit, and produce both short-form and long-form video content tailored to our brand voice and audience
- Edit and produce engaging video content, including motion graphics and animation
- Create multimedia content using tools such as CapCut and Adobe Premiere Pro
- Create engaging multimedia content that drives audience engagement
Digital & Marketing Support
- Upload and manage content on company website, enhancing user experience and ensuring up-to-date content
- Assist with corporate events and staff parties
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and campaign development
- Support various marketing and communications initiatives
- Work collaboratively across design, video, social media, email marketing, and communications
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Maintain organized file systems and project assets for efficient workflow
Brand Management
- Uphold brand standards including graphics, language, tone, and personality
- Work with partners to ensure brand standards are understood and maintained
- Stay curious and engaged with design trends, software updates, and new techniques
- Experience preparing files for print and production (including working with suppliers)
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Post-secondary education in Graphic Design or equivalent hands-on experience
- 3-5 years of experience in graphic design, with a strong focus on branding and/or packaging
- Portfolio required: All applicants must provide links to their online portfolio demonstrating design and creative work (standout portfolio featuring packaging design or strong packaging-adjacent work preferred)
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Experience with video editing software including CapCut and Adobe Premiere Pro
- Familiarity with WordPress, Google Analytics, Later, Canva, Microsoft Office, Meta, TikTok, and Mailchimp
- Knowledge of web content management systems
- Understanding of social media platforms and their design requirements
