Job summary

QTK Fine Cabinetry is a respected manufacturer of residential kitchens, vanities, and millwork, serving clients since 1974. We seek an experienced Design Manager - Kitchen Cabinetry to lead the design department, mentor staff, and drive projects from concept to production.

You will oversee drawings, set quality standards, and coordinate with sales, production, and installers to ensure on-time delivery. Ideal candidates provide strong leadership,良好组织能力 and a proactive problem-solving mindset,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in kitchen cabinetry design.
• Strong knowledge of cabinetry construction methods, materials, hardware, and manufacturing processes.
• Previous experience reviewing technical drawings and production-ready designs.
• Proven experience leading or supervising a team.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve kitchen cabinetry drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Ensure designs meet company standards, manufacturing requirements, and client expectations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to designers, drafters, and project staff.
• Resolve design-related issues and answer questions from internal teams.
• Lead, mentor, and support the design team.
• Assign workloads and manage department priorities.
• Monitor team performance and ensure productivity goals are achieved.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
• Track project schedules and ensure deadlines are met.
• Follow up with team members on outstanding tasks and deliverables.
• Coordinate with sales, production, project managers, and installers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Identify potential delays and proactively implement solutions.
• Develop and maintain design standards and best practices.
• Improve departmental workflows and efficiencies.
• Assist with training and onboarding new design staff.
