Job summary

Teka Kitchen Gallery in Vaughan is seeking a talented Kitchen Designer to join our team. You will collaborate with clients to create functional and aesthetically pleasing kitchen layouts that meet their needs and preferences, using CAD and 3-D modeling.

Qualifications

• Proven kitchen or interior design experience preferred.
• Proficiency in design software: Mozaik, Cabinet Vision, AutoCAD, SketchUp or 20/20 Design.
• Strong space planning, color theory and material selection knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients and team.
• Attention to detail and good organizational abilities.
• Nice-to-have: interior design certification or cabinetry/remodeling experience.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to understand vision and requirements for the kitchen.
• Develop detailed layouts using CAD, incorporating cabinetry, appliances, lighting, and accessories.
• Create 3-D models showing walls, displays, lighting and fixtures.
• Prepare plans, elevations and drawings; advise on colors, finishes and materials.
• Present concepts to clients and adjust based on feedback.
• Estimate costs and materials; advise on leasing, real estate or marketing as needed.
• Source materials and fixtures aligning with budget and style.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors for seamless execution.
• Stay updated with industry trends and new products.
• Prepare accurate project estimates and timelines; ensure timely completion.
• Produce final plans and specifications compliant with codes.
• Work in a multidisciplinary environment; may direct site crews.
