Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Design Manager - Assets & Operations Management to join our team!

The role of a Design Manager in Assets & Operations Management involves the overall conception and execution of design projects from start to finish. They are responsible for managing a design package within a specific asset typology. They also coordinate all design-related matters on projects, helping to keep work running smoothly and on time.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  1. Serve as Lead Designer for all phases of a project.
  2. Provide technical guidance to project design and drafting personnel based on the asset's and operational aspirations of the project.
  3. Function as liaison with client operational team, suppliers, and contractors regarding design issues.
  4. Supervise the preparation, design, and presentation of high-quality concept drawings and reports.
  5. Supervise the preparation of technical design packages through to tender and monitor construction quality.
  6. Liaise with Project Managers, Discipline Leads, internal and external team members including master planners, architects, urban designers, specialist designers, all engineering disciplines, and quantity surveyors.
  7. Plan, program, and delegate within the team structure and participate in workflow reporting and planning.
  8. Provide high-level liaison with Clients and Client’s representatives.
  9. Participate in writing technical proposals, estimating levels of effort, work plans, and schedules as required.
  10. Maintain affiliations with professional societies to keep abreast of development of trends and technologies.

Required Skills:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field from a recognized university.
  2. Minimum of 12 years of related experience, including some job leadership experience.
  3. Experience managing groups for established Architecture/Engineering firms or the client side.
  4. Experience dealing with KSA-based municipalities and developers.
  5. Proven leadership and delivery ability.
  6. Knowledge of LEED and ESTIDAMA principles, certification preferred.
  7. Strong PC and CAD skills, as well as knowledge of the capabilities and efficiencies of utilizing specific computer software to complete design assignments.
  8. Excellent English verbal and writing skills.
