Job summary

Parsons in the Greater Toronto Region seeks a highly experienced Design Lead for Municipal Roads & Highways. You will lead transportation engineering projects, manage client relationships, and guide delivery across design stages from preliminary to detail design.

You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, and help grow the practice with a focus on quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction in a hybrid work model with offices in Toronto, Markham, or Oakville.

Qualifications

University degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering.
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed with PEO.
PMI PMP certification is desirable.
12+ years of transportation engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Provide technical advice and lead a team in design, delivery, and construction support for roadway projects.
Lead development and delivery of Municipal Roadway and Transportation Engineering projects with high quality outcomes.
Manage day-to-day project operations, guide design processes, and review deliverables.
Conduct QA/QC design reviews and roadside safety audits.
Lead design development across study, preliminary, and detail design stages.
Coordinate multidisciplinary projects and supervise field investigations and modelling.
Support business development through proposals, methodology, schedules, and budgets.
