Design Coordinator, North Dublin (Construction)

DesignBuild Seach are working closely with a global leading Engineering contractor who are involved in innovative projects across different sectors domestically and internationally. Due to continued growth they have an opportunity for Design Coordinator in North Dublin. The design coordinator will ideally have experience in logistics, pharma or DC project.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor (Hons) Degree in an Engineering
2. 3+ years of experience in Design with a contractor.
3. Previous Design with a contractor
4. Specific knowledge of advanced technologies and practices in the field.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide help to leadership for large-scale, multi-discipline design engineering team, in close cooperation with the Project Manager, in assembling and controlling the required manpower and software tools required to complete the project.
2. Department on-boarding of policies, procedures, guidelines, etc.
3. Direct the preparation and stewardship of scope of work in the project, including usage of appropriate design tools, computer hardware and software, adherence to design specifications, practices and procedures that meet safety and industry standards, project cost and schedule.
4. Ensure all discipline departments of Engineering have effective resources and perform with expected efficiency and productivity.
5. Manage work allocations for a large team of multi-discipline design engineers.
6. Monitor the engineering schedule and related milestones, providing data and recovery plans to address any technical issues or schedule delays.
7. Track and report Engineering progress, including budget & schedule control.
8. Inspect work in progress to ensure conformity with specifications and quality requirements and provide technical advice to resolve problems.
9. Manage the change management process of a project, including creating value for the client through design processes.
10. Evaluate and provide input on new design concepts which were not part of the original scope of work.
11. Involve in the company communication plan within the team. Provide support to ensure targets are met.
12. Ensure the execution of the project scope is technically aligned and in compliance with Project Operations, Policies, Standards of Business Conduct, and company Project Management System (PMS).
13. Involve in all technical aspects of design and materials procurement, vendor/subcontractor interfaces to meet timely delivery.
