This role is responsible for engineering design coordination for the Surrey-Langley Stations Project. The position involves coordinating engineering designs with construction professionals and external consultants.

Job Description
Responsibilities
  1. Lead daily coordination among disciplines working on the project’s buildings or structures.
  2. Lead weekly internal and design coordination meetings, including documenting minutes and tracking action items.
  3. Follow up on input requests from designers.
  4. Attend weekly meetings with the design lead and discipline leads.
  5. Participate in Facility design working groups with the Province and stakeholders as needed.
  6. Follow up on action items with the design team.
  7. Participate in issue resolution, escalating to the design lead as needed.
  8. Monitor progress to ensure timely submission of design deliverables.
  9. Review drawings and documents for completeness, compliance, and adherence to project procedures.
  10. Lead BIM coordination, including clash detection and resolution.
  11. Coordinate internal reviews and perform final review of deliverables before submission.
  12. Ensure responses to review comments are complete and coordinated.
  13. Lead coordination with Specialty Subconsultants as assigned.
Required Skills and Competencies
  • Strong technical, communication, organizational, managerial, and planning skills.
  • Knowledge of contract language, legal requirements, construction methods, and materials.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent liaison skills with various engineering disciplines.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction practices.
  • Leadership and people management skills.
  • Proficiency with computer applications.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Degree in civil, structural, mechanical, electrical engineering, or architecture.
  • Understanding of engineering drawings and project schedules.

Compensation ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, including benefits, vacation, RSP matching, and company shares.
