Segula Technologies is seeking a Design Convergence Lead (DCL) Engineer in the United States to establish and enforce dimensional control requirements from concept through tooling kickoff. The role interfaces with design, perceived quality, and manufacturing to ensure fit, finish, and structural integrity.
Key responsibilities include leading tolerances, performing stack-up analyses, and aligning with perceived quality guidelines.
Technical Requirements: Lead the creation, review, and approval of dimensional technical specifications and tolerances for internal component parts and tier-supplier assemblies.
Tolerance Stack-Up Analysis: Perform detailed 1D/3D tolerance stack-up calculations to evaluate design feasibility, mitigate manufacturing variation, and ensure overall assembly robustness.
Perceived Quality Alignment: Analyze 3D CAD models to ensure full compliance with Stellantis perceived quality rules, flush-and-gap targets, and exterior/interior visual execution standards.
KPI & Deliverable Tracking: Manage program milestones, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and maintain status tracking across assigned vehicle systems.
Escalation Management: Identify dimensional gaps, interference risks, and quality non-conformances early in the design phase, escalating issues to cross-functional leadership in a timely manner.
Root-Cause Analysis: Apply statistical tools and structured problem-solving methodologies to resolve complex geometry and packaging challenges.
