Job summary

HDR's Toronto design studio is seeking a Design Co-op for the Winter 2027 semester. You will contribute to producing design and construction drawings and collaborate with our experienced team.

You'll benefit from mentorship in mass timber, sustainability, and computational design, and HDR will support your internship goals while you gain hands-on experience on Transit, Healthcare, Education, and Science projects.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Active participant in our employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the production of design and construction drawings.
• Producing diagrams, renderings, and walkthroughs.
• Coordinating with structural, mechanical, and electrical teams.
• Collaborating with large teams and working independently under senior guidance.
• Attending site visits and both internal and external meetings.
• Participating in office culture and design events.
