Job summary

Ledcor Building in Vancouver, BC, is seeking a Design-Build Coordinator to support the design-build team across pursuits and execution. You will coordinate with consultants, review Prime Contracts, and assist with proposal narratives while collaborating with Legal and internal stakeholders.

The role offers exposure to multiple phases of design-build projects and a path to broaden experience across the design-build process, with an office-based role in Vancouver and some travel to sites.

Qualifications

  • 1–5 years of experience in design coordination, project coordination, project management, construction, or a related role.
  • Post‑secondary education in construction management, architecture, engineering, design, or a related discipline.
  • Working knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, budgets, and construction practices.
  • Familiarity with Design‑Build and/or Public‑Private Partnership (PPP) project delivery models is an asset.
  • Proficient with MS Office; knowledge of building codes, LEED, and CSA standards is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in all phases of project pursuits, including RFQs, RFPs, and project execution.
  • Support the review and administration of Prime Contracts, Design Service Agreements, and Design Assist Subcontracts.
  • Coordinate design development meetings with internal and external stakeholders throughout pursuit and execution phases.
  • Coordinate activities with external design consultants, including scope definition, deliverables, and contract administration.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and Legal to support contract reviews and identify potential risks or requirements.
  • Support project management and design management activities across Design-Build pursuits and active projects.
  • Review and provide input on proposal narratives, technical submissions, and other pursuit documentation.
  • Help identify design constraints, assess alternatives, and contribute to cost-effective design solutions.
  • Track design schedules, deliverables, opportunities, and risks to support project schedule and financial targets.
  • Participate in bid analysis, negotiations, and contract awards with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Assist with change control throughout design development and construction document phases.

Are you ready to make your mark in the construction industry? Join Ledcor's Building Construction team in Vancouver, BC, as a Design-Build Coordinator and help support the delivery of complex Design-Build projects.

In this role, you'll support the Design-Build team across project pursuits and execution, working on a variety of activities including design coordination, contract review, RFQs and RFPs, project management, and consultant coordination. We're looking for someone who is adaptable, eager to learn, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. Contract experience is an asset, as you'll support the review of Prime Contracts, Design Service Agreements, and Design Assist Subcontracts while collaborating with our Legal team and internal stakeholders. You'll also work closely with multiple consultants, support Design-Build pursuits, review and comment on proposal narratives, and contribute to project management and design management activities. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop broader experience across the Design-Build process.

  • Familiarity with Design‑Build and/or Public‑Private Partnership (PPP) project delivery models is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, budgets, and construction practices.
  • Proficient with MS Office; knowledge of building codes, LEED, and CSA standards is an asset.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with consultants and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying solutions.
Work Conditions

Office‑based position in Vancouver, BC. Some travel may be required to project sites and/or other office locations.

Compensation

$73,600.00 - $101,200.00 This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
