a day in the life
The Design Assistant at lululemon supports in creating apparel products that are acknowledged as leading in innovation, design, function, fit and quality. You are guided and mentored by the Design Manager and the Senior Apparel Designers. You play a key supporting role and your work is key to the success of the line each season. Act as Design support – be the Designer’s right-hand person to support with day-to-day tasks which includes the following:

  • Presentation preparation
  • Build overview boards and tech packs as directed by designers and design manager.
  • Support designers with sample approvals and being in close communication with product development and production team.
  • Be present for all design/product meetings to capture feedback and actions
  • Support designers with the initial setup, maintenance and updating overview boards and tech packs per cross functional partner’s and vendors’ requests
  • In the DA role, you will shadow some critical design work to showcase and develop your design point of view
  • Support designers with sample approvals and being in close communication with PD and production team
  • Awareness of trend in fashion and streetwear for application to this elevated lifestyle product

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years minimum industry experience is required
  • BA, BFA or BS in Design required (or equivalent)
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator
  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Excel, Word, Mac platform
  • An understanding/interest in Generative AI (eg. Midjourney)

compensation and benefits package

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and teamperformance. Thetypical hiring range for this positionis from $55,300-72,600 annually ; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and subject to program eligibility requirements.
