A student organization in North Vancouver is seeking a Design and Marketing Assistant. This role involves supporting the execution of communications strategies, graphic design, and providing member services. The ideal candidate is a current Capilano University student with strong communication skills and some experience in graphic design and marketing. Flexible hours and competitive pay are offered.
Title: Design and Marketing Assistant
Classification: Replacement Student Employee
Rate of pay: Starts at $23.86 per hour (+16% in lieu of benefits)
Hours of work: 15 hours per week
Reports to: Executive Director
Our design and marketing assistant is responsible for supporting the execution of the organization’s communications strategy through graphic design and marketing services. While the design and marketing assistant can expect to receive direction and supervision from the communications director on a day-to-day basis, the design and marketing assistant is ultimately accountable to the executive director.
Note: This is a term position and the appointment will end after December 12, 2025, unless the successful candidate is placed in a regular position.

In particular, the design and marketing assistant shall perform the following duties:

Member Services
The design and marketing assistant can expect to spend a few hours per week at Member Services (our student information and service desk) to provide frontline coverage and service and information access for our members. While the design and marketing assistant needs to make sure that they’re meeting our members’ needs, any downtime beyond “Member Services essentials” should be spent on design and marketing work that can be done from the desk.
