Dermatology Clinic LPN, (Moncton, Hybrid)

Work Hours: Mon-Fri, Standard Business Hours

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (1-day remote, 3-4 days on-site)

The Opportunity:

This dynamic role offers the opportunity to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced dermatology clinic. As a Dermatology Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a key role in supporting patients through their treatment journey, ensuring seamless access to specialized medications and disease-related education.

In this position, you will:

  • Guide patients through complex treatment pathways, reducing barriers to accessing specialized care.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for your assigned healthcare team, ensuring a smooth and coordinated care experience.
  • Provide education on disease management and treatment options to empower patients in their healthcare decisions.
  • Work closely with internal and external partners, including pharmacies, insurance providers, and Patient Support Programs (PSPs), to streamline patient access to necessary medications.
  • Continuously adapt and refine workflows to implement best practices that enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

A Day in the Life (What you will do here):

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers (HCPs) to assist with patient assessments in an office setting.
  • Accurately process data entry at various stages of patient care.
  • Provide medical support, including disease education, therapy guidance, injection training, and disease management.
  • Participate in specialized training for specific therapies.
  • Offer in-person and virtual support, including adherence assistance via inbound and outbound communication.
  • Review patient files to ensure adherence to optimal care timelines and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
  • Liaise with physicians’ offices, pharmacies, service providers, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Engage in ongoing professional education and training.
  • Administer medications (IM and SC) as required in a clinical setting.
  • Perform minor dermatology procedures under the direction of the physician.
  • Monitor and document post-injection patient responses in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Conduct individual and group patient education sessions based on specific needs.
  • Manage and schedule patient appointments to support care plan adherence.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Provide proactive patient and HCP support, including enrollment facilitation, coverage renewals, and reimbursement assistance.
  • Address disease state and product-related inquiries.
  • Stay up to date on Canadian product monographs for prescribed and administered therapies.
  • Report and document adverse events as per pharmacovigilance guidelines.
  • Comply with Sentrex policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in developing and adhering to protocols for safe care delivery.
  • Follow all provincial college of nurses’ guidelines and professional nursing standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

What you need to ensure you are set up for success:

  • 2–4 years of clinical experience in dermatology (preferred).
  • Licensed LPN with valid CPR and first aid certification.
  • Proficient in clinical skills: including administering IM and SC medications
  • Experience with Excel, Outlook, and Word (an asset).
  • Experience in patient support programs (strong asset).
  • Background in dermatology and chronic disease management.
  • In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong analytical & organizational skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to patient and HCP requirements.
  • Strong ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in collaborating with healthcare teams and stakeholders.
  • Adhere to Sentrex policies and procedures.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
