Pay Details: $91,200 - $136,800 CAD

About This Role:

TD Securities is seeking a Derivatives Execution & Clearing technologist to join our dynamic team in the Global Markets division. As a key player within our organization, the candidate will be a vital resource in the delivery of technology & software solutions used to improve our cleared derivative trading and operational capabilities employed around the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance derivative execution & clearing operations aligning with client, business and regulatory needs.
• Work across business and technology to design the optimal infrastructure from a technology solutions approach.
• Analyze and interpret complex data from multiple sources to inform decision-making and strategic investments.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries and scripts to automate processes and support data analysis.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve business processes and data quality.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of data management systems and tools.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5-10 years of professional experience in the financial services industry specifically as a technology architect.
• Strong financial experience with integrated execution and clearing platforms & infrastructure; experience with Futures & Options, Clearing of OTC Derivatives.
• Proficiency in Database like SQL server, oracle and experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R, or similar).
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Programming experience in Java or other advanced languages.
• Experience with ION applications such as XTP is a plus.
• Assess impact of regulatory changes to technology framework.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Experience with Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
